Does anybody know of anyone attempting this right now?  or if someone has done it that I never heard about?

Put me up for the longbow Not-so-superslam.  Bunnies, squirrels, fox, coyote, deer, turkeys, dillos, cats, a few twittie birds, lots of fish, and beaver.    :readit:    :goldtooth:

I would think that someone out there must be getting close. How about Nathan Andersohn?
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

I dont think it has been done strictly with a longbow yet.  I know a few guys have done it with a recurve though.

I read a post a while back that someone was pursuing it with a longbow, can't remember his name.  I know that Mr. Eichler has shot all of the North American Big game animals with a recurve, I don't think that it is a Slam though since some of them don't make "book".   It would sure be fun to run the course to do that much hunting though.

Rick Duggan and Fred Eichler both have done it with a recurve.

Fred completed the updated super slam a few months ago when they added the Tule Elk to the list. I don't know if Rick duggan got the Tule Elk yet, they had a nice article in the New York times if you can believe it of Rick trying to get a Tule Elk last year with his recurve but he didn't get one that season at least that is what the article said.

I'm with you BJP...selfbow with all homemade equipment...wood arrows, knapped points, plaid instead of camo. That would be the ultimate!
