Hat's off to Dryad Bows
« on: April 12, 2007, 05:52:00 PM »
I just traded for a Dryad Bushwacker bow and WOW.  The website pictures do not do these bows justice.  I am very impressed with the zero hand shock and no finger pinch with the 58" bow drawing to 28".  I am used to 64" plus bows.
Just a    :clapper:   for Dryad Bows.

       20 yard group tonight

I shot one at the W. Va. Expo and really liked it. Not only is it smooth and accurate but it has that unique look to it too. Hope to shoot them again at Compton's and then....

They are great bows!  I just got a Wind Talker and it is quickly becoming a favorite to shoot.

Dang guys.

We just got in from the Vanderpool shoot and saw this thread.  Thanks for the kind words.

Yep TN 58" is not for everyone, that's why we build the other bows that are longer.  Hope to have a SoothSayer with the new limb design to show in a few days.

Well, the name says it all.  For those who may not know, I got this from Wikipedia.

Dryads are female tree spirits in Greek mythology. In Greek drys signifies 'oak,' from an Indo-European root *derew(o)- 'tree' or 'wood.' Thus dryads are specifically the nymphs of oak trees, though the term has come to be used for all tree nymphs in general. They were also, in some respects, considered to be the elementals given the power over, also even said to be composed of the element of, wood. "Such deities are very much overshadowed by the divine figures defined through poetry and cult," Walter Burkert remarked of Greek nature deities (Burkert 1986, p174). Normally considered to be very shy creatures, except around the goddess Artemis who was known to be a friend to most nymphs. [1]

Hope this explains the "soul of there own" =)
