finish wear on arrows

I have some beeman mfx arrows that have been shot into a block 4x4 target enough that the finish in the front 6 inches or so has rubbed off.  I was wondering if others have had this experience and if anyone has tried to re-apply a finish on the worn off section?  Just curious.
