Another great TG'er
« on: December 24, 2009, 12:06:00 PM »
I just wanted to let y'all know about another great trade I made with a fellow TG'er. PapaFrank and I made a trade and I got the 1958 Bear Polar today. It was in even better shape than Frank had described it and in addition, it seems Santa Frank put in some real turkey fletchs, a Ribtek BH for me to try, and a beautiful armguard.

I can't say enough about what good dealings I've had on here. Frank's generosity is the norm, not the exception, and that is truly amazing.

A big TG public "THANK YOU!!" to PapaFrank! What a Mensch.

PaPa Frank is a good guy to deal with. We did a bow swap a few months back and he went out of his way to make it a good trade. One of the good guys in this sport we all love!!!

Here's some pics. First up is the first group with the Polar. Not too shabby, considering the string was from my flatbow and the arrows are too stiff.

A pic of the goodies Santa Frank snuck into the shipping tube.

A closeup of the group. Now, keep in mind this is only 11yds, since I'm shooting in the basement, but it's a promising start.

Thanks Frank

How cool is this?... Way!

Why am I not surprised.

You're not the 1st to toot Franks "Good guy" horn and most likely won't be the last either because he fits it to a "T".
Congratulations on the new-to-you Bear. Don'tcha just love them old bows?

Merry Christmas and God bless

Well, it turns out there's a small problem with the Polar. It keeps turning arrows into tomato stakes    :bigsmyl:

I couldn't stop shooting it and as I got more used to it, it was just a matter of time.

Finest kind of trade, Frank!

I also did a deal with Papa Frank and we spoke on the phone. Really nice fella. Through the whole deal he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I cannot find enough nice things to even say about him.  :)
