New Lost Creek Longbow w/pics...AWESOME
« on: December 24, 2009, 03:57:00 PM »
I purchased a new Lost Creek longbow because I had read a number of reviews and I really like the forward handle R/D longbows. Well after only two days of shooting this bow it is my new favorite. This bow is all I had read about it and more. Zero handshock the most dead in the hand longbow I have shot, smooth, quiet, very easy to shoot, perfect grip and an added bonus is that it has to be right up there with the fastest longbows on the market. I had read it was fast and it is. I felt so confident with this bow I took it out hunting the day after I got it. I keep asking myself if this bow can really be as great as I think it is so I go out and shoot my other bows next to it and it is absolutely the best. I always wonder when I read posts and hear someone say how good their new bow is what other bows they have owned to compare it to. I own or have owned many high end popular bows including Centaur, several Shrews, 2 Griffins, Pronghorn, Kanati, Thunderstick MOAB, Cari-bow, and others and IMO this is the best shooting bow I have owned. I have not met Chad but he is a really nice guy and very helpful. I asked for a basic hunting bow, black glass with bamboo limb cores. The bow is beautiful, excellent workmanship. I put a sure grip on it not because it needs it, but I just am used to them or a leather grip on my bows.  Hate for it to cover the beautiful grip in the pics. Chad says he has only been in the full time bow building business for a full year and has spent time getting this bow just how he wanted it. Chad is going to get super busy when everyone finds out about his bows.  Chad my hat is off to you, you are the man.

Congrats.....That is a nice bow, and the more you shoot it, the better you'll like it.

Chad builds a nice bow that will hold it's own against almost anything out there.

Merry X-Mas, Ladies and Gentleman, this is Chad at Lost Creek Bows, I really appreciate all of the good words the folks here at "Tradgang" have imparted on my behalf. I never expected when I 1st began crafting longbows to recieve the praise and recommendations for my craftmanship that I now recieve. To tell the truth, I'm still building bows and trying to improve on the performance because I, myself, am still looking for that perfect hunting bow, that will kill my dream buck from unimaginable distances. So, the one thing you always can count on from a "Lost Creek", is that my bows will always be improved upon, as I'll always be looking for the next big buck out there. Happy Hunting, Chad  :archer:

That's a beauty! Chad makes a great bow. Great performance for a very reasonable price. I have a Lost Creek long bow on order and I'm going to try one of his recurves as soon as I get the chance.

Congratulations on your new bow.  That is one cool workhorse bow.  I've owned one of Chad's bows for several months now and enjoy it more each day that passes.

Something I failed to mention. One of my friends is one of the best hunters I have met.  He has taken more elk, deer and bear than anyone I know. He has helped me on several hunts including a bear hunt a few months ago. He has wanted to get into traditional archery so he purchased a used longbow that is to heavy for him.  A mistake many of us have made when we first got started. I ordered him a "twin" to my Lost Creek longbow except his will be right handed. Traditional archery has become something that I enjoy so much and has become an important part of my life. I know this new bow will bring him a lot of enjoyment and hopefully he and I will have many memorable experiences over the years to come hunting with our Lost Creek "twins".
