Dang guys, y'all really put the hammer to 'em this year. Way to go!

My camera died in the middle of a two week hunt, so this is the only one I got a pic of. It was really nice to take a deer with my Appalachian longbow and arrows from TG's own jlnft.

After this one, got a doe I played tag with for 3 days and a turkey.

Was fortunate enough to meet up with this guy on 10/29. First night in a new stand setup along the downwind side of a small thicket that deer circumvent while traveling back and forth in the small hollow I was hunting.  I let out a couple doe bawls and grunts after seeing two does and a small buck in the distance.  He came outta nowhere on a string looking for a fight. He faced me at 15yds just below eye level from the hill he came down.  He turned to leave and I stopped him with a grunt and took him right in the punkin at 20yds!

Kota Prairie Swift 56#@26" AD shaft w/ 175grn wapiti 250grn in total up front. Left a classic "Z" cut w/ plenty of blood at the scene!

I've put two bucks and a doe in the freezer this year, but this is the animal I'm most proud to have taken. It may not look like much, but it's taken me a long, long time to kill my first turkey.

First off was a VT turkey in May.

Next was a WY bull elk.  This was a nearly 20 year quest.

Finally some venison to top off the freezer in November.

Curt, it's a good thing you're a taxidermist! That BIG doe you shot is more of a trophy than a 170" buck! WOW, what a big momma!  I love the howler dog and that hog has a beautiful pelt. Have you ever skinned one out and made a throw rug like they do with zebras? That would look real cool.
