Somebody was saying that they will just be marketing under a different name. I thought Howatt but I do not see any new website for them yet.

There has been alot of talk about this, but what I heard is that they will be under Damon Howatt and they will still be making all the bows.I'm not sure the new site is up just yet but I here it will soon be.It is just a rumor from what I have heard.

There was a long running thread a while back about Martin no longer making trad bows.  It was just that a rumor.  My information has been confirmed by several folks (including myself) directly thru Martin Archery.  Their trad bows will continue to be made at the old Damon Howatt plant in Yakima, Wa.  These bows will be sold under the Damon Howatt name.

You can still buy the others from Martin's store.

Maybe good things are coming in the future. Love both my Martins. Specially the Savannah... :bigsmyl:

If Larry Hatfield attends the Traditional Bowhunters of Washington banquet this Saturday, as he did last year, I'll ask him about this.

Just noticed on an auction site a lot of Martin, like 95% of the products.
Won't post it here but PM or email me if you'd like to look.
Seems as though they are distributing a lot of products thru another venue.

Its just a transition to a new web design or something and they are just now coming out with their 2010 lineup.  I got one of the brand new Mambas that was made in the last few weeks with the new wood design.  It is one impressive bow.

That's the 2009 page. If you go to the 2010 Martin website and hit the link for trad bows that page does not come up. Instead, you get a page that lists only three bows, as was mentioned earlier.

Personally, I'm really hoping that Martin starts using the Damon Howatt name again as others have suggested is in the works.

I attended the Traditional Bowhunters of Washington banquet last night and Larry Hatfield was in attendence as well. As I said I would do, I asked Larry specifically about these rumors concerning Martin traditional bows. I was assured that Martin has simply decided to market their traditional bows differently than in the past and that the rumors about closing the Yakima plant, or eliminating the trad lineup, are completely unfounded. A new website for the traditional bows is not yet up but is in the works.

After talking with Larry last night I am actually excited. The fact that Martin has decided to change it's marketing strategy is just one more indication of the growth of traditional archery and bowhunting in recent years. So rather than being the subject of unfounded rumors and concern, I think this change is will prove to be a great move that should be welcomed by all of us in the trad community.
