Meet my little friend
« on: December 28, 2009, 03:20:00 PM »
And, take a look at what the good Lord blessed me with. I bought a new to me Bob Lee from Justin Wilson (onwldcat) a great guy to deal with. 54 in take down, 62lb at my 29" draw. Real nice shooter. My first buck with this bow, my second for the season. This buck came out around 7:15 am still kind of dark but I could make out the horns and new he was shooter. He was about 35 yards when I firs saw him. Too, far for me. I had some does that were about 15 yrds to my left. I new he would come to check out the does but he was taking his time. When he finally came to where the does were I could see him very well. But he didn't offer me a shot. He stayed there for few minutes and then walked away. I was really bummed. I was praying that he would come back and about 5 minutes later he did. This time he was broad side. I picked a spot and pulled back as I drew he turned to look at me and tensed up. I don't remember coming to anchor but I defiantly remember seeing the arrow enter behind and a little bit high of the shoulder. He ran about 20 yards, stopped and turned around to see what just bit him and then started to stumble and fell. Man was I excited. I thanked God for the shot and the deer. What a blessing. I'm still on high. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

My arrows set up: Beman ics hunters 340s cut to 31". El Grande Grizzly 190 with 125 gr steel insert and 100 grain brass insert, a little bit over 415 grains up front. 730 grain arrow.
