that  is my opening day bull last year.  Shrew long bow ww broad head and a 5 yard shot 50 yard recovery and 1 mile from the truck -down hill--

Yesterday afternoon my elk hunting buddy called me and asked if I was up for another year in Montana and now I see this thread.  It's killing me!!!! "Wake me up when September comes....."

No personal pictures yet but third times a charm.

You elk whackers should post up your gear choices over on the thread asking what draw weight/arrow weight is adequate for a broadside elk at 25 yards...

Great Elk everyone!!  They were my nemisis this year, but next year I will be back with a vengence with a very good draw tag in my pocket!!
