new to board
« on: April 14, 2007, 11:26:00 PM »
Hi ,
my name is gene from missouri. I just bought my first longbow the end of last summer.I am 41 so I guess it is never to late to start. this is my first bow since I was 10.. my son has a little bow and we shoot at least 4 times a week together.he is 7. I was wondering if there is a GOOD chat room where most of the talk is about traditional archery.I have a entry grade bow and I am still learning. The tech at 3 rivers has helped alot.

Welcome aboard, Gene. You'll find TradGang is as good as it gets, and then some...

I shoot a ragim 45# at 28" I just put a new string on it today and shot a little It is a flemish 50 and now I have a nockpoint on it. it is a better string but I wasnt shooting as good as with the cheap string. I will try again tomorrow..

I have a Bighorn T/D recurve 70#@27.
Have you checked your brace hight?
Maby it is different than your old string?
Maby your new nockpoint has a different angel than the one you had?
I am sure you find out.
Good luck!!
Inge

Howdy Gene!  :wavey:
Be sure to check out the other forums onsite. The Shooters Forum will have a lot on form and tuning, the Members Videos have a lot of people's form clips, and the Trad Events forum has threads on traditional shoots this summer.

You got some good tips from Inge in Norway, BTW.
