Today is Jan the 11th and I keep coming back to your post because I keep hoping to see you post because it would mean that you've seen how much we care.
It's hard for me just thinking about you getting up every day facing the fact that Daniel isn't there. I pray that you'll be ok. I know it's a hurt that'll never go away. I doubt it will for me either but not anything like as for you. I still remember like it was yesterday attending the funeral of 3 playmates of mine that were burned to death in an old car that my dad and his buddy(the father) had taken the door handles off of. I know my dad never got over his feeling guilty about having removed those door handles.

May God wrap His loving arms around you and keep you nearer to Himself during this very difficult time.
God bless

Although I'm not a pastor, I recently addressed our congregation regarding a traumatic event that occured with my family.  Some people ask why bad things happen.  This side of Heaven, we simply don't know.

Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong to the Lord our God...

What we do know is that God does not cause these things to happen, but he does allow them.

Lamentations 3:31-33
For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.

We also know that he expects us to learn and grow through these experiences.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perserves under trial, because he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised those who love Him.

James 1:2-3
Consider it pure joy my brothers, when faced with trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perserverance.

We also need to trust that God is always present during times when we need Him most.

Phillipians 4:7
God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will comfort your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in You.

I know that my words provide little comfort in your situation; but, the intention of my post is to offer hope through God's Words.  You have a multitude of people praying for you and your family... mine included.
"He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze."
2 Samuel 22:35

Words cannot express my thoughts. I wish you peace and comfort in an unimaginable time of sorrow. I will go to my son's room, right now, and kiss him while he sleeps. My heart goes out to you. Thank you for sharing your grief, I only wish I could carry some of your burden. It must be so heavy. I am shedding a tear for you. I wish I could do more.

I am still praying for you and your family.  In Isaiah the Bible says,"Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up on wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
God can and will carry us through anything if we will only ask Him to, then let him.
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalms 3:3

I read this many days ago I couldn't bring my self to say a word, after all what could I say? My heart is heavy  for your loss. My son is my life. I can not image what it would be like or how you feel. It makes one realize what matters in life. I am a dyed in the wool trad bowhunter. It has been the driving force in my life since I was a teenager. Self renewel you know the lines we all do, the flight of the arrow is so inspiring, but in the grand sceme of things its a joke. What really matters is the special people in our lives . God bless you and your family

As a former firefighter, it was always the loss of a child which was the hardest to accept.

My prayers and condolences to you and your family in this time of your loss of one so young.
