Feathers? colors and shapes?
« on: January 05, 2010, 06:16:00 PM »
A good friend of ours is going into business custom chopping feathers.  What shapes, sizes and colors would you like to see?

And what will not sell?

Hey Mike,

Is he grinding as well?  I get quite a few natural barred from wild turkey's each Spring. My favorite cut is the 3R Swift that 3Rivers carries.

Boy, I'd scarf up all kinds of 4" nanner cuts, I can usually only find 5.5"...

I'd like to see a P&Y/Raptor in a 4" also...

Other than that, it's hard to beat shields and fat parabolics.

If I had one choice (...trying to get to the end of the parabolics I have on hand) I'd only fletch with shield cuts. Rick.

If someone would process turkey feathers sent to them and return them ready to fletch. They could do very well.

I'd buy some feathers still attached to the turkey!  Can't ever seem to find em in the woods.

I'm starting building arrows soon and am looking at shield or banana cut although I have an old burner, I may make my own creations.
Relax,

4" long,1/2" high nanner cut

I wish someone would make a chopper to do it instead of having to mod one.
