The power of children and archery
« on: January 06, 2010, 03:19:00 PM »
Well my wife stated at dinner that she wanted to do more with the kids on her winter break from school.First off my wife loves animals and thinks I spend to much time with my archery  stuff.I said you can at least come shoot with the kids and I.My 7 and 9 yo are so into it it's crazy they If I do something to an arrow(paint, fletch, ect.)or my bow they want it done to.Well when I said that my kids got so excited and were happier than they were on Christmas mornin that she said ok and now it begins. This should be fun!   :archer:    :jumper:

Wow, Tim,

I want to get my wife into it, but I am a little apprehensive at spending the coin on a bow for her just to watch her set it aside. Let me know how it turns out, and I will follow your lead.

Tim I owe it all to my children. last month I gave away a browning wasp and she could have used that,But I have an old Indian fiberglass longbow she can start with.I know she will never hunt but I can at least gain a shooting partner.

i got both of my childern into shooting traditional bows, and my wife wanted to try it i was also scared she would not enjoy it. WOW i created a monster, she now beats me in 3-d tournments on a regular basis and its humbling to say the least, and even wants to go turkey hunting.  encourage her you will love the results.
