I agree but the quality of woods used is better than the Martin.

Which one do you like a tad more?

Otherwise close your eyes and pick one.  I know which one I would want!

Depends on what suits you the best, and only you can determine that. Both are well made bows, but for me, it would be a Buffalo bow from BigJim.

You have to get what fits you and shoots best for you.  Pick the one you want.

If you have been shooting long enough to know what best fits you in a bow, then I would go with Big Jim. You can talk with him and have grip made to your style of shooting and hand size. Plus Jim is a really great guy, type of guy you can talk with and feel your talking to an old friend.

Can't get any of this from Martin!

I had a Savannah and it was a screamer!!! Fast and quiet, really liked that bow.
On the flip side I like to support our local bowyers. If big production companies ever decide to end their traditional lines, our custom bow builders will still be around if we keep them in buisness.   :saywhat:
Just one more step please!

I say Big Jim also , from what ive seen Big Jims bows are right up there with the top bow makers in looks , service , and performance . I cant think of anyone putting out a nicer bow at any price .

I just ordered one from Big Jim. I needed a two piece, plus I like being able to talk to a fine Bowyer and get the woods, specs, and fit I want.

Big Jim all the way!!  I have one on order with him now.  You can get the woods you want for looks and performance and you can get the grip made to fit you perfectly.  Not to mention Big Jim has some really fair prices that are cheaper than most production bows.

I have shot the Savannah and it is a great shooter, feels good in the hand, looks as durable as any out there.

I think either choice will be a good one.

I prefer a custon Bow though!

I hate to chime in here and have everybody thinking I have a big head or anything like that. course if I had a little head, I would look kind of funny.lol
Savanah is a nice bow, I had one too early on and have owned dozzens that I have taken in to re-sell.
I have several customers, some local, that used to shoot savanah's that now shoot mine. The feed back I get from them is that mine shoots much quicker and at least as quiet.
I have a pretty good feel on what there handle is like although not all savanah grips are the same (similar).
If you can explain to me what your looking for in a grip, I'll do my best to accomodate. Besides, if you purchase a bow from me, you get a free t-shirt with a picture of my beautiful face on it. haha

B.T.W. I have a temporary page up that has some pictures and a second page with my priceing. Take a look, this may  help you out.

thanks, bigjim
