yes, i wanted to go longer and about 10# lighter, a bow to shoot as my age and ailments increase, and physique and strength decreases.  the longer part is because i really prefer spot 'n' stalk hunting.

i tested out this new 'hawk at only about 8 yards indoors, and it spit out the 665 grain carbons with solid authority.  need to see how bad the trajectory is at 20 yards and adjust accordingly.  i think 45# would be just fine for deer, but i'm now just crazy silly about hog hunting and need the arrow weight to get the job done, so i'm dubious about such a light energy bow.

one thing i find just amazing - every mohawk i've ever shot or owned (and that's a good double digit number), no matter their length or holding weight, have that so-good "signature vince" feeling about them when held and when shot.  i can pick up, brace, load and shoot any mohawk and it'll feel like i've "come home" to my own mohawks.  i just dunno how vince can clone each bow so perfectly.  what craftsmanship!

Beautiful bow!!!  They are the smoothest drawing and shooting bows I've ever held in my hands.  I'm gonna put my order in for a 60" or 62" real soon.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)
