SBD strings. WOW!
« on: January 08, 2010, 03:23:00 PM »
I just put a  8 strand SBD string on my Black Widow MAII. I'm amazed at the quietness of this string. The shot sounds like a puff of air.

I just shot a 700 ish gr carbon and I am hitting 6" high almost everytime from varied distances. Could it be that much faster?

I've never even seen a skinny string before and when I strung this one up I was concerned that it was too thin to hold up.

I've been shooting as much as the cold will allow and I am very impressed. I had the black yarn silencers put in and I love them!

I just put on a skinny 8125 string on my saII this morning and really like how solid it feels after the shot. Seems to have taken any vibration out of the bow on release.....and it's quieter!

One SBD string is on its way to The Netherlands. I myself was already deadly but not exactly quiet. Nevertheless, I am looking forward for the mailman.... let's just hope he won't ring twice....
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

With the SBD string, my Fedora Excellorator is quieter than it's ever been. I've bought 3 strings so far and couldn't be more pleased.

Can they make strings with 450+ and/or ultracam?  I don't see it on their website.  If not do you know where I can purchase these strings made from these materials?

Thanks,
Mike

Been thinking of one myself.
What are they looking for, when they ask for limb width???  Width at the loop, or at the widest part?

I talk to Pierre today about his strings. He was very willing to talk to me and discuss his theory on why his strings work the way they do.I am really looking forward to giving them a try.

About the limb width measurement it was my understanding that he is looking for a measurement 3 or 4 inches below the string grooves to insure the loop will slide far enough down the limb for romoval.
