Shrew sickness!!
« on: January 08, 2010, 04:43:00 PM »
I just received a Shrew Classic Hunter from a fine fellow Tradganger yesterday. This bow is a complete blast to shoot! I've spent the last 2 afternoons, in freezing temps and blowing wind, shooting it nonstop.

It is definitely a different beast from the full size, heavy riser, takedown recurves that I'm used to shooting.....but man what fun!!  I was pleasantly surprised with the performance as well.

Here are a few pics, for the truly addicted!!  LOL

gorgeous bow ive been keeping an eye on the classifieds and kicking around the idea of ordering one.  Have an itch for a short one piece bow that needs to be scratched....best of luck with a beautiful bow (even if the riser is on the wrong side     )

Allen, they are a blast to play with, but I bet you would'nt have pulled that one arrow high out of the dot with you go to bow. LOL. have fun. by the way , that is a very nice looking quiver.  don

Thanks guys, it soesn't hurt that it has some awesome limb veneers!

Don, that was the first arrow that I shot from it that ended up outside the dot. I'm sure it won't happen again!!     :archer:

Sorry about the mismash of arrows in the quiver. I was a little impatient to get out and shoot it, I just grabbed some arrows out of the bucket to fill my quiver!!

Felix, I think it would do a great job on a boar! I made up one of my strings for it last night. It's really shooting well now!

Sickness??
You are only in the early symptom stage!   :D

I'm sure amar911 will be chiming in soon.
HE has THE Shrew sickness along with the most unbelievable collection of Shrews.

I'm wondering if the name Allan/Allen has anything to do with it. If so, you are sunk!

Welcome to the ward.

One of the biggest mistakes I made was selling mine.
I even contacted the buyer a year later to see if he would sell it back to me, he just laughed...oh well.
