This Classic Hunter was made in 2008 and did start life as one of Ron's personal bows that he shot last year. Then Ron started shooting the new Shrew Model-T in 3D and other tournaments and loved it, so he decided to keep shooting the Model-T throughout the hunting season. Rather than stick the Classic Hunter on a rack, Ron put it up for sale. A TradGanger in Denver, CO, bought it and then sold it to a TradGanger in Loveland, CO. It isn't that the Colorado TradGangers didn't like the bow; they did like it. I know that the problem the last owner had was he had a 31" draw length and the bow ended up 10 pounds heavier than he felt comfortable shooting. Too bad for him, but good for Allen. The bow has an interesting history and was carried for a season by the man who designed the Shrews, so it will be a great bow to own. It has the provenance, the performance and the beauty. Enjoy it Allen.

Am I correct about everything, Ron? I'm trying to keep up with that bow. It is one that made me wish I was ambidextrous.   :archer:

Thanks for the info on the quiver mount. I had my quiver mounts to close together. That must have been the reason  I missed a couple of deer last fall!!! HaHaHa  :knothead:    :archer:

Amar911/Allan (you spell your name wrong by the way!  LOL)

That history of this bow sounds right in line with what I was told. I think she has found a new home. I look forward to taking it to the woods next fall.

I'm waiting on one that has been mailed by Ron early in December but someone from the postal service screw up and sent the bow to China rather than to France ... I'm shrew sick    "[dntthnk]"

Allen - My name is spelled right-handed and yours is spelled left-handed, hence the difference.

Mark - I will take some pictures of my new CH this weekend and post them here.

Cacciatore - Stop thinking and place your order. You will have a long wait anyway, so you might at least get in line, and Ron does not even require a deposit.

Phil - Sorry to hear about the mail problem. It will be worth the wait, assuming it gets to you.

Hey Allen, nice lookin' bow.  My daughter (Emma) is on my lap keeping me company and she says your feathers are pretty.  Have fun shooting that "new" bow.

Allan, you must be smarter than me. I never realized there was a right hand and left hand spelling for our names!!  LOL

Felix, you may as well order one. The only reason I never ordered one before is that I'm terrible at long wait times. This one is the exact specs that I would have ordered though.

Fixer, that was one of my first groups out of it. Here's a 30 yard group from one of my other bows. I'm getting close to this with the Shrew now that I've shot it for a couple days....   :goldtooth:

There's no telling how many good bows Ron has passed along but there's a Crown Jewel at my house with his name on it. I looked at that Shrew pretty hard and if she had been 10# heavier I would'a bit. You should really enjoy it.
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

A.S. I have only seen pictures of the shrew, how do like the fit of the handle with the thumb ridge and the size for your size hand?
