Would someone be willing to tell out loud what dipping a bow costs or is it not cool to ask?

I'm not even considering it at this point in my life but curiosity can kill a cat.

Thanks!
God bless,Mudd

I am not into camo bows but do remember doing my SK years ago with a spray paint and stencils that came as a kit. The best part was I could just wipe off the paint with minerial sprits and rewax. Had my shiney bow back. I haven't seen that kit for dogs years. Has anyone else?

Those dipped bows look very nice and shortstroke that is a cool design.

For me just a couple rattle cans of flat paint reminds me of the old days when I was a kid getting ready for hunting season. The bow in this pic is almost hard to see.

I had cloth camo tape on the limbs of a recurve several years ago.  The stuff stuck to the limbs like the dickens and when I finished trimming it along the limb edges, it turned out looking really nice.  It never peeled at all and was removable.  Just took a little WD-40 to get the adhesive sticky off.  Cost about 2 bucks for a roll of it at K-Mart and about 10 minutes to apply.  Just a thought.

Thanks for all the replies.
I am leaning towards the film dips.

Here is a Burl Wood film dip on a WARF bow that Pete Ward made and on his site.

Nice paint job Denny.  Just don't unstring it and throw it out of a tree into a cattail swamp.  Might be next spring 'till you find it.  Ask Bill.   ;)

As far as getting busted with shiny limbs.  I believe it matters, but I'm kind of anal retentive about my whitetail hunting.  The camo certainly isn't necessary, but a flat finish of some kind really matters...IMO.

I used the "Limbsations"from  "Onestringer Arrow Wraps" a sponser here. I thought I was getting busted with the shine off my black limbs and wasn't sure if I wanted to hide the ziricote riser with the camo dip?

Anyway, the limbsations worked great and are removeable if you decide you don't like them.

Here's a pic fo my bow and a turkey I took this year from a brush blind:

Kip

Yep.  Sure does look a bit shiny?
I'd like to see it in person.  Other dipped bows I have seen have a matte finish.  Might just be the picture.  Might be a good idea to check with the "dipper" first, to ask about shine.

Ben

That works nice too.

==================================

Now after all this.
I just got my nice new bow in the mail today, put it together, and DAMN those limbs look great and are a nice matte black.
Maybe I will just leave it alone for now. lol    "[dntthnk]"

I'll try to post some pics
