Share your TRAD KID!!
« on: January 09, 2010, 11:31:00 PM »
I got thinking of all that trad gang does for St Jude Children...all the auctions, hunts, etc.... Makes me think how fortunate we all are to have children and how much they mean to us... The fact that our world revolves around our kids and grandkids and how empty we'd be with out them... Lets share some pics of our trad kids!! Lets also remember the St Judes kids in 2010 and help them win the fight!

My 14 yr old Jake

I bet him he could take this one at 10 yrds !!

My son and nephew Connor

Litte Allie (my daughter is now 4)

Neighbor kids are shooting thanks to Vermonster!

Kids at the Michgan Bunny Stomp... A beautiful sight!!!

Jakes first bunny (my favorite pic)

I'd love to never have been able to figure it out on this site.(no don't post a walk through it wont help tried that more than once)

Gunther is 3 he's been hunting and fishing with me since he was 2 weeks old. My entire life revolves around him. I even retired early to stay home and raise him.

The name fits! He is the size of a average 5 year old has no fear and is 100% outdoors madman!

Quick story I was typing away at the computer a few days ago when Gunther walks by with a hunk of firewood. "what are you doing Gunther?" I ask knowing full well I really don't want to know. He walks over to me smiles, hits me with the log and yells "walrus". Then repeats.....3 times. Finally I get the log away from him and set him down for a chat. The boys favorite game is gross out the tourists with critter parts. Last year he walked up to a visiting women and gave her a hand full of salmon guts on the Kenai.....best day of fishing on the Kenai I ever had, that lady chummed the whole river!  :goldtooth:

How cool is this? Way!!
Thanks for sharing your loved ones with us. All of the pictures of the youngsters took me down memory lane. I have pictures and memories of Marijane aka MJ, "Woogchilde" or just "Woog" for short.

Here is "The Woogchilde" w/her wild game(a ferocious wabbit)

Thanks again for sharing and looking at my P&J.

This is my Grandson Jake. He's been shooting trad with me as long as he could draw a bow. He's 14 now and took his first big game this year on his 14th Birthday.

His first jack rabbit.

Jake and I on his Birthday a few weeks ago.

I know I look to young to be a Grandfather. He's technically a step-grandson but I was there when he was born and I've been there all along. We don't know we aren't blood. He's turned out to be an awesome shooter and hunter. CK

I'd like to once again offer a parent/kid hunt. It would sure be great to take some of these kids and go hunting for a long weekend and let them meet other kids like them.

I've got a few open dates for March and for April. We can do a 3 day rabbit, squirrel, javelina, hog hunt. Something really exciting for the kids and for the parents. I'll start another thread so this one isn't steared off course. Nice photo's so far. CK

My trad kid is getting pretty big but here he is.

This is an action shot where we test the theory that wool keeps you warm even when wet...

He took this buck last season with his K-Mag and wooden arrows he made from the ground on public land...

Here he is, all wookied up. A big improvement!...

My 13 year old Granson. His mom was the youth state indoor champ back in the 70's and his Dad has been shooting trad for 3 years now

He spends a lot of time with me in the woods stump shooting
