Welcome aboard Jeff. I love the way you jumped in here. I am of the opinion that your offer to help others is a true sign that you're a "Traditionalist" in the truest sense of the word.

If I can ever be of any assistance just holler.
BTW, I have all kinds of arrow shaft material growing in my yard and the only way it'll ever get used is if there are others that'll use it as I "Hate,Hate, Hate to build arrows...lol

I have Missouri arrow-wood bushes, grey dogwood, privet, Japanese arrow bamboo and none but what little bit Butch took has ever been harvested. Over half of my 3/4 of an acre is grown up in this stuff.

All this proves is.."the road to hell is paved with good intentions!"

Again welcome!
God bless,Mudd

Jeff: There are other Knappers here. One is Bill Skinner. He sent me these about 2 weeks ago.

I've tried it in the past but I just can't quite get the knack.

Geez, I hate making stone tips too but have LOTS of obsidian in my neck of the woods... LOL!   :p  (Hint, hint...   :D  )

Anyways, welcome aboard Jeff! Seems TradGang can add another "40+" years of experience to it's pool. You'll find this place to be one class act.

Jeff, still learning the stone point making.  I did shoot my first deer with a stone point this year. Make my own arrows and use natural turkey feathers for fletching.

Welcome to the party!
