no deer this year

tried and tried, but never brought home.a deer this year with the new longbow,but I ended the season with my first traditional turkey.

almost had a second one. Frigid temps had them at the same place everyday.

The first bird is a big deal...almost as big as getting a deer. You did well. Took me many years to get my first bird.

I'd be surprised if you told me that it wasn't the MOAB that helped put turkey on the table.

I do have to say.. it ain't over yet. The fat lady hasn't sung! Now maybe you've run out of time but I didn't think about that because as that ole radio announcer from Springfield used to say "If you're too busy to go(fishing/hunting) then you're just way too busy.

I would love to get a Turkey with my longbow this year . We have quite a few on our hunting land but I dont really know much about hunting them . Any good tips ? BTW congradulations on a nice bird   :clapper:

I understand how you feel about no deer this year. I'm paddling in the same boat. Saw lots of turkeys within 10 yards, but where I hunt, ya' can't shoot 'em. So I'm gonna just sit back an anticipate next year.    :banghead:

I've had a few "no deer years" and this was one of them. Three chances and blew everyone!!   :knothead:  Hope next season is better.  :pray:  Congratulations on the turkey!!!
