Nice lookin bow.  I like the leather wrap too, I haven't seen anybody get creative with the handle wrap before.

Such a beautiful bow!

I don't know how your bowyer got the leather looking like that, but I did find a trick for giving elk hide a very nice "aged" look. First rub it with a hard chunk of bees wax, unevenly, then torch it slightly with a butane torch. The beeswax will take on a darker color when heated. Next apply oil to the skin (it'll absorb best where the beeswax isn't as thick or missed.) What your left with is a leather that looks like it's been used for ages.
