Recurve, but liked the longbows I saw on the Solana trip.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Howard Hill longbows and Schafer Silvertip recurves happen to be my favourites, and I hunt with both.

I have both but I hunt with the recurve most of the time.  As someone else said I just can't consistantly shoot the longbow as well.

Longbow for me. I dont dislike 'curves(except the amount of brush and twigs they pick up in the ears), but I LOVE longbows.

Swore by recurves when I started though I appeared to shoot a longbow better as I loved the "genius" of the recurve. Shot a recurve exclusively for 7 or 8 years. Purchased a longbow on a whim and haven't looked back. I may some day-it's all fun! I should add that, rightly or wrongly, I place many of the hybrids in their own class. I'm not knocking them as I truly do love them all-but they just don't capture the same "spirit of the longbow" for me in quite the same way as the 'ole "D' shape, LONGbow. It'd be interesting to do a three way poll.

Hunt with both but prefer the Longbow, won't hesitate to use recurve if conditions call for it.

I have both but prefer the long bow. My recurve is really light but my long bow is even lighter.  That's the only deciding factor that I can think of that makes me carry the long bow.

Have not shot my recurve yet in 2009 or 2010.  Just sets on the rack as a backup.

I love longbows, but hunt mostly with recurves.
