I voted longbow but it's actually a hybrid. But I believe it's more like a longbow than a recurve.

Ummm... Recurve?? I shoot a longbow. 1 because thats all I own. 2 because thats what I choose to own. So longbow has my vote.

Have both, started out many years ago with a recurve but now I hunt almost exclusively with either my Centaur or Super Shrew. Bill Dunn is making me a set of longbow limbs for a SXT riser, then I'll have one more in the mix.

I have to agree, both are fun and have their pluses and minuses... I've taken a handful of critters with a recurve, but I'd need more people's fingers and toes to count the critters taken with a longbow...

Long bow for me, but I'd like to try a recurve with a low wrist longbow like grip. High wrist recurve grips seem to make me shoot right for some reason.

They are both great. I would take either one, but I like the fact I have a lot of both. Although most people don't think in these terms, one of the biggest advantages of a longbow in my opinion is the straighter limbs that pack easier for travel. Fortunately, most of my favorite bowyers make both kinds of bows. I have hunted much more with a recurve but have hunted more in the last year with a longbow. I do want to say that my "longbows" are almost all of the reflex/deflex hybrid variety which are really half way between a longbow and a recurve.

Have both, use both. On my first longbow I really struggled with the grip, and I probably overbowed myself to boot. When I got my Shrew CH, the grip made all the difference. Really like the Classice Hunter, once I figured out the correct arrow to use so have been using that a little more.
