Must be a rerun. I thought Fred completed the slam a couple of years ago.

The Tule elk was added last year or the year before, changing the number of animals from 28 to 29. I THINK Fred got the Tule ahead of Rich Duggan (hope I spelled that right?), so Fred is now the first to accomplish the Slam with a recurve. I guess added wasn't the right way to say it. I think the game biologists declared the Tule as a seperate species or sub-species. Mike

Yep, this made Fred the first Trad Bowhunter to kill all 29 species, now that the Tule has been added.

I don't think many of those hunting show people know their a%* from a hole in the ground.  Fred is the exception.  Good guy and he gets it.

His show is about the only hunting show that I can watch anymore.  I can't really catch his show either so I DVR every episode plus I have all of his DVD's.

fred definately gets it.i am poured from the same mold he is.i am not a trophy hunter at all.although i try and shoot a bull elk above a cow if a cow wanders into the redzone its on for sure.i ran into some of the primos boys once in burns...what a fiasco that was, they sounded like a herd of elk goin through the woods with all the hunters, guide, cameraman etc...makes me realize just how tough it must be for these guys to actually take an elk on public ground.sure glad its them and not me.
