Lonnie,

Was that HS Black Widow you did a while back the "Oak Leaf" pattern?

I think I'm going with Predator brown on my hunting bow this year.  Going to look good with my outfitter camo clothing.

LOL

That is mighty nice! And it goes on right over the finish? Is there any going back if you change your mind in the future or are we talking paint? Does the product help protect wood from moisture?

Very nice look.

reallly glad you opened this back up Lonnie!!  I'm gonna send my wifes bow and one of mine in real soon.  I like the Predator camo and I'm thinking carbon fiber or something else for hers.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

How tough is this camo finish? Does it hold up well being out and about in the woods?

Steve, that is orange leaf.
NorthernCaliforniaHunter, The original finish has to be at least lightly sanded and a base coat of paint is applied for color and to make sure the wood is completely sealed and then the camo dip. After that dries it gets a few coats of clear to protect it.
Ben, the clear coat I use makes it as tough as a regular bow finish.
By the way, it can be removed by careful sanding just like a clear finish if you ever want to refinish it.

I have had one of Lonnie's camo finishes on some of my bows for about 2 years. The finish he uses protects the camo dip, I have no scratches etc in 2 years and I do not baby my bows. The only problem I have with the camo dip is picking out the type of pattern I want, they all look good.

Great work.  I'm more than satisfied with mine.  I did a post on it some time back if you search my user name.  It is in Oak Leaf.  I will also be posting on it's first kill tonight.

Possibly, depends on the make and model.
