Some of the Collection (pics)
« on: April 15, 2007, 09:25:00 PM »
Lately ive seen a few threads on here about old Bear bows and thought i would share some pics of some of the bows my father has collected over the years, and recently completely spoiled me by alowing me to pick and choose different ones to shoot untill i find one i like. I now know how fortunate i am to do that, so i thought i would share some pics of these fine pieces of traditional archery history with people who can really apreciate them. (some we dont shoot and you can guess why) Hope you all enojoy them as much as  i have begun to as learn more about them.

First is a picture of : (from left to right)
1-1959/60 - Bear Grizzly 55# Bow still has original feather rest, leather grip, and even string. (see second pic also)
2- 1962 kodiak 62#
3- 1962 kodiak 70#
4- 1955/56 Kodiak 59# (both right and left handed)
5- 1955 Kodiak Special 63#

Handel and rest of Grizzly:

These bows are special to me because it was a 1976 Super kodiak 55# (not pictured) that i took my first  deer with this last fall. they are my favorite bows, and this is a pic of the super kodiak collection.
Left to right:
'69- 64" 70#, '68 45#, '69 60#, '70 45#, '70 55#, '71 65#, '70 70# (the bow dad hunts with)
