My new longbow by David Dowell
«

This is my new longbow made by David Dowell from Arlington, KS. David has a booth each year at the Flatrock Stickbow Carnival in Bois D'Arc, MO and I finally broke down and ordered something from him. This bow is 62" long and pulls 46#@28". The limb core is sassafrass and the limb veneer is curly maple. The riser is made from leopardwood and Laoation rosewood. It pulls smoothly and shoot very nice. Too bad I got it the last week of our season but better late than never!

I have shot some of David Dowells bows at the carnivel, very nice bows! It looks like your bow turned out great! I got a real kick out of your TBM article on the shootin clinic.
