I'll be using a 58# Kanati with a centaur big game head.

Strutting dekes work well!

Has anyone tried a mechanical head for turks out of a trad bow?  I'm not looking to get flogged but some of these heads look like they would work well for turks and smaller game.  Just curious I guess.  I would think the bigger the cut the better for an old gobbler.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

Possible, but what would wing quills do to the head if they were snagged on impact.

I haven't decided, but will probably go with the 53# limbs on my chek-mate with grizzlystik woodies and 175 gr. woodsmans.  Worked last year.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Horne T/D Brushbow 47 @ 28, GT 3555, and a Magnus 175 up front. I may try a Bullhead.

I will probably use a string tracker this season. Turkeys are incredibly tough if not spined or hit very well.

I'm excited about this spring's turkey season also.  I have harvested 2 with a compound before.
This will be my first all trad year, so I am a little anxious to see how it goes...
My bow: Volcano one piece recurve, 58", 50# @ 28"
Arrows: GT 35/55's with 125 Phantoms, 100 grain brass inserts up front, 3 - 5" true flight feathers in rear.
Man, I love turkey season in the spring.
Can't wait!

Never thought about the quills messing up the mech heads.  It might not but why chance it.  After shooting and tuning my new to me Voodoo it looks like I'll be using 55-60 cedars with 190gr. VPA Terminators or 2016's with 200gr. Terminators.
