Last minute Kentucky Deer
« on: January 16, 2010, 07:55:00 PM »
Well, Monday is the end of our season and it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow so today was my last opportunity to sit in the woods. Got in the tree at 1:30 and at 2 two mature does with two tag a longs came through. I made one of my longest shots ever at 26 yards. The hit was a little low but angled through the heart and into the opposite side leg. She went maybe 40 yards and piled up.

This is the first deer with my new Tall Tines recurve and it performed it's job flawlessly. I really like this bow. Glad to get some mojo on it this season. 50 degrees today and was a great day to spend in the woods. It's been an awesome season and one I'll never forget.

Congrats!

Congrats once again TJ on a nice doe and a great season.

I went this morning but didn't see anything so I shot my judo at stuff on my way back out. I'm planning on trying to go in the morning if it ain't raining.

That's way cool!
But it looks like you need to check with the local farmers to be sure they aren't missing a mule...lol That's a huge doe!

Congratulations!
