I'm liking the KS that I recently acquired so much that I've placed an order for another -- now the wait begins.  Mine is pictured above in Joe's post--cocobolo and bocote (although the woods have darkened considerably).

Curt,

All nice bows you have there, but that Charcoal Diamondwood is just outstanding.

Those are some pretty bows. Mo those limbs are awesome looking.  What are they? Can you give us a close up look at those bows?

Hey Curt, ever think about trying another type of bow?  I don't think those Kwyk Styks are a good fit for you.        ;)

These bows look like they would draw butter smooth, is that the case? Compare the draw to a SA widow please. Performance? Compare to widow also.

thx

I've never drawn a smoother bow in my life...especially a 56" bow....I don't know how he does it, but Jack does....

I don't shoot Widows, so I can't answer that part of your question...

Nice pics, Momo! I really like the wood combos on the last one. Is that bocote/macassar ebony handle and bocote limbs? Please enlighten me.

Hey Fella's, glad you like the bows.Curt you nailed it. I was looking to use Bocote at first but Jack talked me into going to Zebra-wood instead.Sure glad I listened to him.Plus he said he had some funky zebra for the limbs. Jack sure put a beauty together.
Really like the Dymondwood for its heft and strength.Stats are:
[Zebra] 56" static limb, finger grooved riser,  antler thumb rest,  2 sets actionboo limbs,  1- 56#@ 29"/   2- 49#-29" -
[Cocobolo] 58" static limbs, stippled grip,  2 sets maple core limbs,  1-63#@29"/  2-56#@29"-

Mo, For the sake of asking, can you tell any difference between the maple limbs and the action boo???

I luv my 2 Styks, both are the regular full working limb. But if/when I get another, it'll have the statics... not there's anything at all "wrong" with what I have, but I know Jack and Serg really like the statics...I have to try them!

I get so many people asking about the difference...

I would guess that the static limbs would be quite a bit smoother to draw.

I can't see how that's possible...truthfully, my KS's are a smooth as anything I've draw regardless of length....

I have static limbs for both of mine and they seem "quicker" than the regular recurve limbs. My buddy shoots his KS with recurve limbs and they feel a little smoother. Either choice is a winner in my opinion.

Every Kwyk STyk that I sell here, I run a few arrows through it. So far the past 2 yrs all bows had the Static Limbs and trust me, they are extremely smooth as well as being "Kwyk".

I have not done any force/draw curves but I have a KS coming in for Chris Surtess, again Static Limb and I will do the F/D curve. Curt...if you want, maybe you can come up and we'll scale your limbs. I have regular limbs mounted on my Stealth, 58#, 60" at my 27" draw and this bow will pull smooth to 30".

I had one of our hunting buddies draw it back to 30" and run some 2315's out of it. From personally shooting all the Static limb bows before I ship them out,again...they are super smooth. The 56" model would be perfect from 26-29" draw. 58" out to 31".....Just ask Serg to confirm....    :readit:            :jumper:
