Mid-MO Bunny Stomp(is now in the books)
« on: January 18, 2010, 03:09:00 PM »
The rain held off. Those who were planning to come but didn't because of the forecast missed a great time.
I'll get some pictures posted as soon as one of the shooters gets them e-mailed to me. I didn't have a camera of my own there(my wife didn't want hers getting wet)..lol

I figure a 5 hr hunt is long enough to officially call it a "hunt"!

I sure feel like I've been on a hunt but it's not my back that's telling me that, it held up great!

Thanks for reading!!
God bless,Mudd

Should be a good time. The more the merrier. Bring your huntin' bows & razor sharp broadheads. Mudd said a rabbit got on the highway the other day & got hit by a cement delivery truck. The cement almost set up before the road crews could get it cleaned up!

Great Dave, I look forward to having you both there to cover my misses. The more people we have the more opportunities to run a rabbit by someone who can hit them.
God bless,Mudd

PS Could you drag a stave(not short but somewhat small diameter, trying to save mailing weight costs...lol)) along instead of waiting for UBM? If it would work out, if not I'll wait.

Still thinking, I hope!...lol

Ashland is about 18 miles south of where 63 hits Hwy 70 isn't it? I opened that Home Depot years ago.

Maybe I've missed a thread.  What time are you hunting and how far from Ashland?

We plan on meeting on the Ashland McDonalds' parking lot around 7 am. AS you get off of 63 going into Ashland the Mickey D's will be on your left almost immediately. I think even Stevie Wonder could see it from the road..lol

I hope you can make it. The more, the merrier!

Mudd,

I forgot that our local indoor traditional bowhunter league has started again and we shoot again this Saturday.

I'm sure you all will have a great time. Let us know.

The weatherman's report tells me that a poll is needed here.
They are now calling for heavy rains. Thunder storms included, that doesn't bother me as much as knowing why it makes that sound does. I have great respect for lightening.

Question? Do we call it for rain or just make the best of it. I know I don't have a problem hunting in a little rain but I shy away when it starts the booming.

What say ye?

I'm sorry to say that I can no longer make this hunt mudd. I have the chance to work and can't pass on it. I will be there in spirit and will have to bring your stave to the ubm festival. Happy hunting

I'm not sure what to think. It was supposed to rain yesterday(nothing), it was supposed to rain today(so far nothing) it's supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll just plan on being in the parking lot unless its thunder-storming.
