What to do in Mobile, AL?

My wife and I are making a trip to Mobile this weekend and I'm wondering what there is in the area for a trad archer to get into. Any trad archery shops? Ranges?
What else is there to do in Mobile, even non-archery related? My wife was looking at a place called Dauphine (sp?) Island or something? And some museum with a submarine you can walk on?

Dauphin Island, pretty much beach and water, last time I was there, 15 yrs ago. Bass pro shop not to far from there. USS Alabama war ship and submarine tour is pretty good. Bellingrath gardens
in Theodore pretty nice.

There is the USS Alabama, a WWII battleship, that you can tour. They also have a WWII submarine you can tour, but I do not remember the name.

Other than the battleship and submarine that was mentioned.....the Imax theater is cool. It is downtown on the water. Blakeley state park is a civil war battlefield, real cool. It is across the bay around Spanish Fort. Bass Pro shop is in Spanish Fort as well across bay on I-10.
Tour the eastern shore along the bay through Daphne and Fairhope down to Point Clear.
A lot of good seafood. But your from Houma so nevermind about good food. I am preaching to the choir.
No real trad shops around. McCoy Outdoors is a nice sporting goods store about 5 miles north of I-10 on I-65 and Springhill Ave.
A Cabelas is supposed to be coming soon just north of Mobile in Saraland.

If you go to Dauphin Island ask around, there are some Indian Burial Mounds there that have a cool history. Alot of Indian Royalty so to speak are buried there. There is a ranger Station I think next to it and if you are lucky he will give you a tour. But the boys above have hit the highlights. Another half hour East are nice white sand beaches of Golf Shores. Enjoy.

Also if you have time chek out the Naval Air Station museum of filght in Pensacola, Fl. Its only about an hour and a half from Mobile.
Blakely Historical State Park, where the last battle of the "War of Northern Agression" was fought.
If you go to Dauphin Island, take the fairy over to Ft. Morgan. Wonderful museum about the same war. Gulf Shores is a wonderful Tourist Trap. In Foley there is an Outlet Mall, Tanger.
Of course you can always come shoot your bow with me!

Well just got back a couple hours ago, we had a great time, got to see some old friends and went to the Battleship Park. My wife had never seen a submarine or battleship before so she really enjoyed that. Thanks yall!
