I will be heading down Friday and leaving very early Sunday morning to go to Texas for a couple weeks of hogs and javies. Find me hanging around Jim Reynold's booth or wandering.

This is one of my favorite gatherings, good folks, small scale that feels personal, and a great chance to visit lots of trad archer friends. There are some great bargains at the banquet live auction - I always leave with stuff.

Hi Rick,

IF I was able to go, it would have to be leaving here on Saturday morning and coming back late Saturday night.  I'm second shift and leaving Friday evening would mean taking off two days from work instead of one.  If that would work for you, we could maybe work something out.  Got a new VW Jetta that's fun to drive and great on gas.

By the way, does the club have any plans for the wives?  I recall that at the summer rendezvous they always had some sort of womens tour planned but that was in Herman.  Maybe if there is something for the women I could bring my wife along and make a night of it?
Dave

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Dave,
There's nothing planned for the womenfolk other than toting around all the goodies that the menfolk buy;)

Ohhhh.  The SE Iowa bunny hunt is the same weekend.  Maybe we can all drop down and hit the UBM as well!
Mudd-any info on the Mountain Man event?  Web-site?

Dave, like Rick said dues are $25/yr. There are always some banquet tickets left for last minute if you can do it. We would love to have you back in the fold. Look me up if you make it.

The Festival tops the list of things I miss the most. There's not a better group of friends and dedicated bowhunters gathered in one spot. Hope ya'll have a good time I'll be there in spirit. One of these years I'll burn some air miles and sneak in. Gotta get my winning Widow ticket mailed in soon. Best regards to all! The girls say hello too. Dave

We miss you too David!! Have you scraped out a bow lately?

Katie- there isn't a web site. It's the 1st time event and its happening at the Copper Kettle here in Ashland. That's just one block off of 63 hwy, they have a huge sign out on the hwy so its not hard to find plus Ashlands' not that big..lol

God bless,Mudd

Dave, Yeah it would be great if you ever get the chance to come back and see us. Or maybe you could just take turns inviting all of us up to Alaska to see you. A couple of us have been talking about a bear hunt up there again. Good to hear from you.
