You know somethings are not funny.  Stealing another persons property is not funny.  I emailed John in Hawaii to let him know and now have to retract that.  That is not funny.

I also reported you to the moderators and Terry Green.  So I guess that's not funny either.

We take unethical behavior very serious on TradGang and don't think jokes about theft or poaching as very funny.

Don't bother stopping by my booth if we are in the area.

Yes I'm very pissed!!

Mike blew my cover before I could see how many people actually said they wanted a $59 riser!
I guess it was just too far off the chart to be real.
It is great that people stand up for U.S.A. and display such integrity. Cudos to Mike for calling me out on that even if he blew my cover.

Wait until you see what we do with the limbs!

You be upset if you want to, no offense was intended.
A couple of sponsors received some attention to their products, so I hope the readers here like the A&H riser and the film dip.
I was just trying to display the products and get a laugh or too.
It certainly got your attention.
As you can see from the few responses so far, they like it. And....some were not even aware that A&H made the new style riser. Maybe A&H can get some interest in this great looking riser.
If those in charge of this site want to pull this thread which is sponsoring two of their sponsors, they can, but I think they will be wiser than that.
I think the men at A&H know I have bought several  sets of limbs and risers from them, so I think they will understand how highly I think of their products.
I appreciate your opinion Mike, but you are over-reacting.

Well I asked you if you had it dipped and you choose to lie about it and make up a story about having it copied in China.  That was a mistake.

It's a cool look as I said in my first post but John Havard is a good friend of mine and I take exception to people stealing from my friends.

Now it turned out that you had it dipped and I spent an hour trying to protect my friends and you decide that I over reacted.

Do you have anyone you would stand up for if someone stole from them?

Mike, I spent 30 years catching crooks for a living.
I have scars from being stabbed and bitten and other fights, so I do appreciate your position, sorry if my sense of humor caused you to waste your time.
I have had a few emails already asking where they can get the riser. I have referred all to A&H.
It is a really nice product.

Yep I'll probably laugh about this in the morning.  But you have to understand that custom bowyers are a tight and small community.  We watch out for each other and step up when someone wrongs a friend.

With the recent copies being marketed by Korean companies made in china, it hit close to home.

Sorry if I came across too strong, but I do feel very strongly about this.

Just my opinion, but I agree with wingnut. The joke was in pretty poor taste. Again, that is just my opinion.

Mike, if I had any idea you actually believed this I would have let you know. I thought everyone would know this was in fun and you could not get a carbon riser for $59, even from China.
I had no idea you would react so quickly to defend your friend. My hat is off to you for that. If I was getting mugged, I would want someone like you around, someone who would react quickly.
I guess that this is not the first time my sense of humor has offended someone. If you were offended, I do apologize.
But, I will add that I have had 3 emails from people wanting to know where they can get a similar riser, so it did work to some degree.
All those asking have been referred to A&H, so maybe John and his team can pick up a few sales from this poorly worded post.
I have had no emails concerning the beautiful work of camodip.net. Lonnie is a perfectionist.
Again, folks, just wait until you see what he is doing to the limbs.
and....no more jokes on this post.

Mike that is what being a friend is about. Good on you for that.

John I think that maybe you could edit your posts and get the exposure you wanted for the TG sponsers. It is a cool ooking riser I am sure there are more that will like it. No need to risk anyone else taking it the wrong way.

I am not saying anything about anyone else's reaction to John's post, but I personally thought he was joking. On the other hand, if I had thought he was serious, I would have been upset too. I guess I tend to assume people here are good folks and read their posts accordingly unless and until I find out otherwise. What happened is one of the problems with only seeing what someone has typed as opposed to hearing him actually say it. I hope everyone can forgive and forget. We have a great bunch of guys here and I would hate for anyone to have hard feelings over what seems to be an innocent mistake by John in not making his humor obvious enough.

John, if you can talk John and Larry into selling that riser for $59 plus shipping, I'll take a dozen.    ;)

No offense taken on this end, Mike was doing the honorable thing. But, he sure does move fast.

I would say there is no chance of the $59 thing.

One more thing about this riser, the grip is what I like the most. I have owned several A&H and Adcocks. I like the way they shoot, but this is my favorite grip style.
