2009 Mounts Back
« on: January 20, 2010, 07:53:00 PM »
Picked up my mount tonight. When I shot the deer it's velvet had started to shed. I didn't know whether to leave it or tear it off before mounting. As you see I decided to leave it and I'm now glad I did.

Well, there sure is more than one advantage of killing your buck in September!  You're first in line at the taxidermist!

Another awesome mount TJ.  Looks great with the velvet just like you found him.

Velvet is COOL!

You should get him to airbrush the exposed antler to match your trophy pics

I am starting to look into Washington and North Dakota so I can get a velvet buck...

The velvet makes him stand out, like a story needs to be told.  TONS of character!!  Congrats Joe
