I had one, and liked it until I strapped a quiver onto it. It really did not like the quiver. Just something to consider depending on your shooting style.

I've had a RER Vortex for over 5 years. I always shoot it with a Thunderhorn Small-Fry quiver and love everything about it. Some bows like quivers better than others I guess. Mine is plenty fast, super quiet and VERY shooter friendly. Dealing with Kevin & Sue is a pleasure and the man makes a beautiful high quality bow. You'll be glad you gave him the call. I'm sure if you search them on here you'll find plenty of pics and comments.
best to ya

The Vortex is a great shooting bow. Light in the hand, and that is why some would prefer it without the quiver while others may prefer a little more weight.
I see that you shoot both longbows and recurves - you did see the thread about the new RER Retro? Kind of the recurve version of the Vortex.

I have TD vortex with the bow-bolt. Kevin doesn't make them anymore, to my knowledge, but it is my favorite hunting bow. The dymondwood riser gives it just the right amount of weight for me.
