GFA / Hunter Image at K-Zoo
« on: January 22, 2010, 08:28:00 PM »
I just noticed the sign at the top of the page that GFA / Hunter Image is gonna have a booth at Kalamazoo.  I'm gonna have to scrounge up some more money quick!  I've been looking at a couple of his pull-overs for a while now.

Believe it or not, I was just looking at those pull-overs as well. Those mackinaw pull-overs look especially sweet to me. The one thing the website does not tell, however, is the weight of the wool material. I do hope you'll report back after attending Kalamazoo and share your impressions with us.

I got a Mackinaw pullover in the brown wool, Teresa said this is the heaviest weight wool they sell, 29oz I believe!! I love mine, I use it rabbit hunting with the temps in the teens with just a light weight fleece under and its perfect! I will be getting another in a lighter weight wool for the early season! Probably get a knife as well, kinda cool and a great price!

Oh yeah, got a wool bow sock in the brown wool as well, it is awesome!

29 oz.??? Wow!    That's it, I need no more convincing because I'm placing an order. That black & tan buffalo plaid pattern is me and now I've just got to have one - or maybe even two.

Thanks.

Just got one for my birthday. I like it quite a bit.  If it helps you, it's lighter weight wool than the Ron L heavyweight longhunter shirt but should be good (with a layer underneath) for stillhunting in the 40s or maybe 30s.

The BROWN is that heavy, the other wool patterns vary, I would call and ask first! I know the timber ghost was a light weight, the grey wool being a bit lighter weight than the brown!

Looks, like I'm gonna be getting a heavy and a light one.  I really like the longbow cases too.  I'd really like to meet Fred and Teresa as well.
