Everyone asks that. :D   It was a Woodsman. The deer was right under me. The first shot was spine. The arrow in the pic was the coups de gras. Shot from a 54# selfbow, that head went through a shoulder blade and was sticking several inches in the dirt on the other side. Small deer, but impressive still.

Passed on several bucks this season but managed to help thin the doe population out a bit.
   
   

Schafer Silvertip 60" 56#@28". GrizzlyStik Alaskan tipped with the VPA Terminator 160

I waited on this guy to show after I saw him on my trail cam--He was the chosen buck I would hunt. The season came and went without ever seeing him again. Maybe next year!

This is a 3x4 Blacktail buck I killed on Dec.4, 2009 with a Blacktail Elite VL.  64" 60# @ 29" POC arrow and Wensel Woodsman head.

Best buck I had the opportunity to shoot. Opening day...passed him at 10yds.....

 
 
 


Did get a doe that he pushed by me about 10 minutes after I took those pix.....
