Holy crap how did this happen?
« on: January 25, 2010, 10:53:00 PM »
I can't believe this has happened. All I meant to do was call Mike at Maddog archery and ask him a couple of questions, and next thing I know I am ordering my first custom bow. I don't know whats going to be worse, my wifes wrath or the 14 week wait!

I can't let my wife shoot it! She will like it more than her bow and I'll never see it again!

Let everyone know how that old saying"better to beg for forgiveness that ask permission" works out for you. Hint--beg or maybe even BEG.

Deny everything, admit nothing - make counter accusations!!!!

Be prepared to have your bow taken away, she'll claim it as hers and you will sleep on the couch for a week or two.  :)

Dude,

Man up and tell her you ordered it.  IF she is a bit hot, tell her it is for her, and you get yours next.  That will make it all good and you get to play with the happy wife soon after.    Always works with mine anyways.  She has her second custom bow on order and my order goes in shortly.  Worth the wait for mine. I get a new bow and a happy playful wife.

I just tell my wife "I could be your ex old drunk and lay out all night and not have nothing to show for it"
It usually don't help but it makes me feel better, LOL
I just wait till she ain't looking like most other guys here and she never knows the difference. She told me the other day she's seen so much of my stuff come and go she don't even know what I got. Boy did she open the door or what? LOL
Enjoy, Mike makes a nice bow.

I would take it like this you have 14 weeks to come up with excuses. I just tell mine I could be out drinking all night. She says "It would probably be better at least it wouldn't cost as much"  :banghead:
