Take the beating now, you have 14 weeks to heal and should be able to shoot again when the bow arrives.

You can always get another wife, the perfect custom bow is truly hard to find...

Better get over to that kick boxing place.  You have 14 weeks go get some skills.   On second thought I would rent Fire Proof, and go with the roses.  My wife just smiles and says that is fine when I get a bow or anything else for that mater so I don't really have much to offer in these situations.

I just asked for permission on my first bow, the other bows that I have bought are all by the same bowyer, she never suspects anything...   If something is said like,"where did that come from", I just smile and say, "you know, this is my Robertson."  :archer:

The way I see it you have 2 options.1)Stand up to her and tell her you're the man and you'll do as you please.2)Or as I often do Start crying and fall into the fetal position and beg for my life.

My tried and true technique is having all of my bows delivered to my friends Archery Shop.  I always sell a bow before I buy another, or nearly so.

If I have one that hasn't sold yet, it stays in the truck in a case or bow sock until it does.  Then I ship it.  I very seldom take my bows out of their socks or bow cases, as the case may be, while my wife is home.

She'll get over it.

Seperate your bank accounts and just split the bills down the middle works nicely as well LOL.

I never have had to worry about what I buy or when I buy it.

Come to think of it, money arguments just don't happen in my house.

If you do have to allow here too whip your but, I recomend puting on a few layers of heavy clothing, it really absorbs the impact LOL.

Good luck to you.

No wonder you sent me that Blacktail 2 years ago before you got the money order, you were tired of it sitting in your truck LOL.

Tell her your the boss, you make the money to pay for it, and if you want another bow you'll buy it. I'd never do that myself, but whenever I see a post similar to this I often wonder how it would go over.   :banghead:

Justin, have you written a book yet? I seldom laugh right out loud at the computer, but you have the knack!

And from what I have gleaned here, your wife is flat-out awesome!
