Hey Ray, glad you like the bow. Had a great time on sunday, as for shooting in the rain. The feathers will gett a little messed up but will come back when dry.  the bow was sealed with 5 coats of spar urathaine (sp) just wipe in down after you shoot.

When you go to hunt Alaska in what kind of weather do you have to deal with? Shoot they will last longer than us.

dont worry about the rain, i dont think the guys at BPS are stupid i just think its a lack of understanding a wood bow, the younger guys myself included grew up with a compound in our hands, so they are probably relating wood/water/warp...... jmo

Shoot a longbow or recurve in the rain.  The wheels won't squeak.  I like the powder type feather waterproof for the fletching.

I'm not big on hunting or shooting in the rain, but that's exactly why I have the bows I use most often set up with T-300 rests, and keep a few arrows with vanes on hand, and all the feather fletched arrows I use treated with No Snow spray...
