I hate paying for simple ideas like Limbsavers if there's a good and easy way to make them up yourself. They really calm your bow down for those quiet shots. So I was in the hardware store getting some fastners today and saw these rubber corks.
Whole bunch of different sizes...very flexible and plyable rubber...so I thought I'd tinker and see what I could do.
Took my cut-off saw and spun the disk around in one of the medium sized corks down low....left about a half inch area inside that connects top and bottom together, prepped with laquer thinner, put some 3m weatherstripping adhesive on, let dry, then cut out some double sided sticky tape to mount them on the limb.
Works as good as a pair of limbsavers...for $2.50.
I'm sure you guys could think of a way to modify this..the sky's the limit.
