Guru,
What was the brand of ziploc bag,Glad,Zip lock,Hefty were they all the same? Was the water spring, well, distilled? what was the water temp and the air temp? What was the moon phase so to determine the gravety pull on the earth?Just playen you know how we like the variables. Now you have to do a report on the penetration of plastic bags.
I think colored water in bags is gonna be what my kids shoot at this weekend. Thanks for the idea.

I shot an elk one time up and back.  It went 40 yards.  I was sick to my stomach thinking I had a bad hit.  The death kick was heard by my partner around the knob.  He walked to me smiling.  I didn't believe him.

We figured i hit the top of the lungs and it filled up QUICK!  :D

I guess it could be fun to do and see how the water flows out the bags. Im sure my son would love to do that or see me get all wet.

But.....has nothing to do with broadhead
performance.  :)

i just did it with a single bevel..only instead of water i used milk, it spun so much now i have whip cream....lol just kiddin

here's a test. take 2 milk jugs, both filled to the top and side by side. stand 10-15 yds away and shoot 1 with a 2 blade head (your choice)
and then while the 1st is draining, shoot the other with a snuffer..(ya gotta be quick)call me crazy, but i bet the snuffered jug drains first!!mabey not, lets try it..   :campfire:

I like that new Terminator. It did a job on heavy bone in a hog I shot. The more blades the more blood!!

I shotthe plasticbag with a big blunt- thehole was 2 inches in diameter and all the water immediately left the bag .

Yep bigger hole more blood as long as its on the other side of the animal.

Did you try it with a file sharp and a stone sharp to see which one drained faster?

Ray - I like the big blunt theory.

The Snuffer is a good head, have used it in the past. I have many friends that have used it successfully but they have all at one time or another stopped using it. Its not that it will not make an incredible hole, duh, its three bladed instead of two.
It is because of the three blades if it catches bone with one of those blades it forces two other blades at oblique angles to the way they are supposed to cut into the target.
Now as to the people I know that used them and quit it was to a man the same thing, the Snuffer when shot into an animal and does not hit any thing wrong works wonderful, but each had an episode of the animal running off with what should have been a good hit with penetration of a couple of inches and the shaft lying alongside like a rifle scabbard.
It has happend enough to good hunters that I know so that many years ago many who used them switched to a good two blade and never looked back.
Many have had good experiences and will stick with them. That of course is their choice.
I go by what I have seen and experieced and will not use them.

And I want to see Mysticguido shaving with a Snuffer.  Not that I think you can't get it sharp enough.....I want to see the process.  Keep the bandaids handy.
If I had a Video camera that was digital I do a Vid of it. I really do shave with a straight Razor, So the trick is to go slow and use the right angle. I can take a pick and post it on How to hold the Snuffer to shave, But I will say this.

Don't try this at Home..

Later on this Year I'm hoping to get a chance to Hunt with CK of 7th Age Bowhunters... And with some other Tradganger's on Public land here in Texas.. I'll do so others can see it done..

Are we a little bored?

I take enough grief about shooting in the basement all winter.  If I was to start stabbing plastic bags I am sure my wife would go over the edge.

Anyway it's a proven point that 3 blades are better ;-)

The only thing better is a big 4 blade.  That being said I'm replacing my big 160 magnus with the new new VPA's are they are slickest thing I've seen in a while.
