New "Serpentine" from James Parker
« on: January 29, 2010, 01:01:00 PM »
Just slightly before Christmas I received my new Serpentine from Jim. I have had to drop my draw weight in recent years and actually went back to an old longbow I originally hunted with some 30 years ago. I ordered a 54" 40lb @ 28" from Jim. I am very impressed. The bow somewhat of a Scythian style, with syiahs, and a deeply backset handle is designed to be shot off the hand (as I requested). The bow is extremely light and very very fast. I recently finished some poplar shafts low 4 fletch 75x105, and have been amazed at the speed that this little jewel sends them off. I would certainly recommend anyone interested to contact Jim at Huntworthy.
