Footing aluminums (is it necessary)

If I am going to be stump shooting with aluminum arrows, should I foot them. I have footed my carbons but just wondered if I should do the aluminums.

I've never bothered, but then again, I don't see any reason to do it with carbons either. I have one judo tipped carbon in the quiver which has survived numerous impacts with solid objects none the worse for wear, including two hits on a steel grain bin that sounded like a sumo wrestler beating a rug...

I guess it depens on how hard your stumps are. :D I have never had a need to foot any arrow myself.I pick my targets better than many on here I guess.

I never seen any point in footing aluminums, they will still bend.Footing carbons helps keep either end from cracking. That is the weakest part of a carbon, the open nock end and the front end.
