What Autumarcher said! Some people never really understand how short life is until you live it / see it when on duty. Life is here one day and can be gone the next without notice but in a blink of an eye just like that. Enjoy my friend as I would LOVE to do the same.  GOOD LUCK

So many guys on Trad,(me included)wish they had done the same...I had to wait till I retired, but at least I still made out of the city.

I read your thread this mornin' and almost answered it!  I grewup in NE Arkansas..I know your feelin's!! I left there in 1970, after 24 years in the Army, retired in 1994. Lived in Texas since... I spend as much time as I can in Id, Wy and Montana. It's time for me to move on as I'm gettin old and hurt more each day! Good luck! God Speed!!  :campfire:

We bit the bullet and made the big move 5 years ago.  Stressful for a bit but well worth it in the long run!

My dream is to be able to afford a house with a workshop so I can start making my own trad bows.  As soon as I make as much money at that as I do my real job, BY BY real job.

well if you want terrible deer hunting, Maryland is the place to be  :knothead: , no really we are the ONLY state in America that a person can accomplish the "trout slam", plus some of the best waterfowl in the US, along with maryland blue crabs!  And to top it off a great pop of sikas!
