We flew into Utapao, Thailand for three days.  One night I ordered Frog Legs Djakarta style.  I didn't know you could get that much curry on anything.  Couldn't taste the meat at all.  Too bad since they were really big.

I really want to try this now, not only does it sound like a blast but those legs look great.  Dad eats them whenever he can, the only place I know to get them is a chinese resteraunt and I dont want to eat them there!  SO I told him I would wait untill I killed some!

I really enjoy frog legs, taken with either a fly rod with some red yarn wrapped wround a hook or by spear. I'll need to check the rules again but I don't think it is legal to shoot frogs here in Mich with the bow and arrow.

I've heard people using spears to get frogs.

Chris,  I'll certainly take you up on that offer.  That video of you is funny.  Nice frog though.

I have an AMS retreiver.  Is 70# test enough?   :biglaugh:

I think I'll find ponds that I can stalk them.

When I was a kid I had a Black Lab that was a pro at filling the bucket with frogs. Good eating!

The best way i have ever had them them was at Cloverdale in '08.  It was at "Ferrets Camp" and i believe Otto's brother was cookin them.  He dipped them in funnel cake batter and fried them up. They were unreal.

if anyone was at mojam in '02 they might remember us getting 40-50 one day out of the creek bed.  We never had anymore luck in later years. We must of wiped them all out!

Here in michigan you can't shoot them, or spear them at nite. you can hunt them at nite with a pole and fly or have some real fun shining them from a canoe then grabing them. It takes two people and some care but it is a blast.
