String length for Paul Bunyan 100 40#
« on: February 09, 2010, 08:16:00 AM »
It's an all glass bow from roughly the 1950's. Would anybody know anything about the string length?

Measure the bow length, nock to nock on the belly side of bow, and get a flemish twist string that is 3 inches shorter than that.  Some of those old Bunyan bows had static tips or recurves....some straight limb.  The recurve models should have about a 7" to 7 1/2 " brace height....straight limb models about 6 1/2.   Adjust by twisting string.
